The Sweetwood Guitar Company Comet combines the classic stylings of '50s surf culture, tradition of the American ‘Golden Era’ and modern construction techniques culminating in what the company calls "the pinnacle of design and tone."

At the core of the Comet’s tone lies a unique multi-piece neck construction that is designed to be both high art and stable. According to Sweetwood, attack, bloom, articulation and sustain are greatly enhanced, giving the musician a wider tonal palette.

This unique guitar was made for the 2010 NAMM show, it has a beautiful spalted top and carved body shape that is second to none. The neck is thick and comfy with a beautiful ebony fret board. The Wolfetone Sweetwood pickups are perfectly voiced and feature a coil-split that provides many tonal options to compliment this guitars sustain that lasts for days. There is some finish cracking near the fretboard but it does not impact to amazing feel of this guitar. Comes with a tweed case!
