About This Listing

Early 80's Connecticut, USA made Ovation 1669 Custom Legend in good shape for its age.

It looks to be all original and features the Ovation bowl back design, natural finish, spruce top, active pickup system, volume control with stacked bass/treble stereo blend knob, and bound ebony fingerboard.

The pickup has 2 jacks for mono or stereo output. When used in stereo the pickup is designed to have both jacks with 2 mono cables into 2 different inputs/amps and filter between them using the bass/treble knob.

When using the pickup the mono jack sounds great and is the most practical for live use. Unfortunately when using the stereo jack the pickup is not well balanced and the D string is quieter than the others. Other than that the guitar plays great. It was recently inspected and setup in our repair shop with low action and light gauge strings.

Cosmetically it has 2 finish cracks on the top and some minor dings, most notably on the back of the neck around the second fret but it is overall structurally solid.

Sold with the original Ovation hardshell case.
