FREEDOM CUSTOM GUITAR RESEARCH Dulake Libero-4st 2016 Poly SSK
Freedom Custom Guitar Research (FCGR) have been steadily creating impressive instruments out of their small workshop in Tokyo for the better part of 20 years now, and are often seen in the hands of working musicians throughout Japan. FCGR are so confident in the quality of their builds that each instrument comes with a 100 year warranty!
The Dulake Libero is a contemporary version of F.C.G.R.'s first original bass, the Dulake. Libero comes from the Italian "libero" which translates to "freedom" and is also the name of a position in soccer. Akin to an aggressive defensive player with a wide range of action, this bass has both supreme playability and a wide tonal pallette, being an active bass with a vintage voicing.
The main feature of this model is the unique body shape with ergonomic elbow and waist contours and a stunning dark red glitter Sasuke (SSK) poly finish. A fat, U shaped one piece maple neck with a rosewood board and stainless steel frets is joined to a lightweight two piece ash body using the revolutionary Arimizo & One Point neck joint system. Two original humbuckers provid the output with active/passive modes engaged via a push/pull tone control.
While there are subtle sings of use in the form of slight scratches and minor dulling of the hardware in places this instrument presents beautifully. Additionally it has received a new set of strings and a set-up at our store in Yokohama.
The pictured original gig bag is included along with a spec card, etc.

When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
