This ultra rare RCA mic came to me broken with no output. I re-soldered all the connections and was overjoyed to hear a really clean and wonderful output from this gem. The microphone has 100% all original components!
It has been cleaned and serviced and works wonderfully. The little pewter badge on the back is the star of the show and gives this mic a totally unique and beautiful look. While the mic does work and does not sound bad, this is a collectors item and has a wonderful art nouveau look. The cable was starting to fray at the end so we also cut the bottom 3 inches off and soldered the original connector back on which works perfectly. I do not believe many of these were made at all, as I cannot find much information online whatsoever, so it is difficult to provide an accurate manufacturer date but based on the components, parts and aesthetic, I am placing the mic somewhere in the 50’s.
A super rare find and must have for the RCA microphone collector!
