This is a 1960s Harmony Sovereign acoustic that has been used and loved for most of its life by late Belgian guitar legend Paul Couter (Arno, TC Matic, Tjens Matic). It's being sold on behalf of his wife, in fact.
The guitar is playable out of the box and sounds massive. Open chords ring and boom in a way not a lot of guitars can match. The neck bears the scars of years of slide playing but the action is nice and the frets are in good shape. It's straight and there's plenty of life in it.
Paul was an invetereate tinkerer so the bridge and machine heads have been replaced and there's an input on the bottom of the body for the Seymour Duncan SA6 Mag Mic pickup that this ships with. This will need to have the contact wires resoldered together but this is a simple task and the connections on the pickup and input are stll intact. The guitar also ships with a Gator GC Dread hardcase.
There are some marks on the body and bridge from plectrums and one next to the neck from god-knows-what. Call them character pieces! The guitar is inscribed to his wife on the back but she has so many of his guitars she wants to let some go. That can be cleaned off if the buyer desires.
Always happy to provide more photos, just let me know.
