Great Bulgarian Vintage Jazz Bass guitar from 1980-1990.
Ready to grace anyone's guitar collection.
But it can still play great.
Made at the famous Кremona guitar factory in Kazanlak, Bulgaria in the 1980s. The guitar was used on the road years ago, and subsequently mostly for rehearsals at home. Absolutely functional right now. It has its marks of use, but this is a very solid and massive bass. The Bass has a warm, sustained and very clear tonе. Everything on the guitar works. I have owned this bass for 34 years. It has normal marks for all this time - some scratches, dust, wear to the gloss finish on the body and fretboard. But this does not interfere with its functionality at all. Setup is done.
It is sold in the same form as seen in the photos. Over the years it has received some great upgrades - upgrades to make it playable and even better - the electronics, and the old plastic knobs have been replaced with metal ones. The fingerboard is straight, accurate, intoned, it was improved by one of the best Bulgarian luthiers. The paint on the base underneath has been rubbed off, but this could be the start of your project to spruce it up. Or just like that, to let it bear the traces of its time.
This bass has tremendous emotional value to me. Its value will only increase as the years go by. I'm selling it, along with another guitar from my gear, with the sole purpose of being able to purchase another bass that I've been dreaming of for years.
