Guyatone 'Sharp Five' appeared in the middle of the electric boom in the 1960s. This masterpiece was developed jointly with Nobuhiro Mine, who is known as the lead guitarist of 'Munetaka Inoue and the Sharp Five' and is still active today.
This time, we have reprinted the LG-2100M and LG-350T DX 'Sharp Five Deluxe' released in 1994, which retain the unique and gorgeous appearance but have undergone various modernization improvements.
[Neck] The star-shaped position mark seen around 1970 and the long headstock with the letter '5' are impressive. The tuner uses the 'GOTOH SGS510' and the bridge uses the 'GOTOH EV510TS,' achieving higher playability and ease of maintenance than at the time. The nut width is approximately 43.8mm, and there is some wear on the frets and nut, but there is no problem with playability.
[Body] Overall weight approximately 4.2kg. As the name suggests, it is characterized by its sharp shape. The deep metallic blue coloring looks great on stage. There are scratches, dents, dullness of the metal parts, and uneven paint and cloudiness, but considering the model year, it is in relatively good condition.
[Electrical system] Controls are based on 3 single coil pickups, 1Vol/1Tone, and 2 singles on the front and rear, and the center is mixed with Push/Push of the tone POT. There is evidence that the pickup was replaced once, but it is now back to the original. The pickup mounting screw was originally pot-shaped, but it has now been replaced with a countersunk screw, and the pickguard's screw hole has also been chamfered accordingly.
Originally $1,530.64, now $1,224.51 ($306.13 price drop)
