ZEMAITIS Metal Front Series
ZEMAITIS has released metal front models MFG22 BK and MFG22 NT.
MFG22 BK and MFG22 NT are models with a high design unique to Zemaitis, with the front body covered with an aluminum alloy plate with carved decoration. Both the body and neck are made of high-quality African mahogany with binding, and the fingerboard is made of ebony. It uses a 635mm scale and has 22 medium jumbo frets, which are preferred by many people.
The pickups are equipped with two Zemaitis original Dragon Classic humbuckers, each equipped with a volume control, a tone control for each pickup, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. . We are also particular about the internal wiring materials, selecting and using materials that provide the best sound quality. We have also introduced a treble bleed circuit that achieves the same tone as at full volume even when the volume is turned down.
The highly reliable Goto tuner is used to ensure tuning stability. The pickup ring has been updated from the traditional flat shape and is now angled to match the angle of the strings. Also, by adding a radius to the corners, the shape is designed from the player's perspective to eliminate the string snagging that could occur depending on the playing style.
This model was announced at the NAMM show, the world's largest musical instrument trade show, in January 2020, and was released in advance in the United States. Led by Greg Timmons (general manager), a specialist with a long career in the American guitar industry, and the American design team, we have repeatedly exchanged opinions and produced prototypes with the Japanese development department, and are focusing on the American market. This is a model that was produced and directed from a global perspective with particular attention to detail. While inheriting the Zemaitis style and design that originated in the UK, we have completed thorough interviews with guitarists and guitar technicians who play on the front lines, and have created a model that incorporates the elements sought after by modern players.
