The legendary fuzz 'FUZZ rite' was developed by Ed Sanner, who was at Mosrite at the time, from the mid to late 1960s. The first batch of about 250 units were equipped with germanium transistors, but for the same reason as other pedal manufacturers, to eliminate instability caused by temperature changes, from 1968 onwards (and a small number of them), germanium transistors were installed. From there, they switched to silicon transistors.
This time we have a version made in 1968 equipped with two silicon transistors 'TZ-82'. The rubber feet are deteriorating, the casing is rusty and scratched, and the logo is faded, giving it the feel of an old instrument.
Compared to germanium, it has a sense of stability, an edged sound, and a tremendous roar with an almost uncontrollable treble when the gain is increased.

While most well known for his iconic offset guitar designs, Semie Moseley experimented with effects production in the 1960s, creating some lasting units like the Mosrite Fuzzrite. It is now a regularly cloned effect and reissued recently by Sanner in 1999.
