Bass Collection's 15th anniversary special order model! !
The specs and sound are perfect for a special model, and it has a wonderful finish!

Sugi Guitars is led by Makoto Sugimoto, Japan's leading guitar designer/master builder who has created instruments for famous artists around the world during a career spanning over 40 years. The natural and solid sound unique to Sugi, which takes advantage of the characteristics of tonewood and brings out the material's charm to the fullest, is popular regardless of genre, and has many fans all over the world, from artists to collectors. One of Japan's leading custom guitar and bass brands.

I always admire Mr. Sugimoto's creative suggestions and discernment of materials, and this time we would like to borrow his help to create a wonderful piece for our anniversary. Ta. For the body material, we selected a special selection of 40-year-old Honduran mahogany, which is now valuable, and for the top we selected the same rare black persimmon with an elegant flame heather. The fingerboard is made of dark-colored Madagascar rose, similar to the high-quality Jacaranda used in vintage music, and the laminate neck is made of hard rock maple and purple heart, with a special bird's eye heather floating in the center. The specifications are truly mesmerizing.

The fingerboard inlay, which took the most time this time, was designed with a ``cherry blossom'' motif, as is typical of our store, which has been in Sakuragaoka-cho, Shibuya for 15 years. We thought that the existing design would not be interesting, so we focused on originality, but this time we wanted to spend as much money as possible on the sound, so we arranged the design well without making it too expensive. Thanks to the good coloring of the shells used, each piece has a soft color but a sharp contrast, and the cherry blossom petals float elegantly on the dark brown fingerboard.

In terms of the most important sound, the body sound, which feels somewhat heavier than its actual weight of just over 4 kg, has a unique stickiness that makes you reaffirm the charm of high-quality real Maho. The weight of the sound probably takes advantage of the characteristics of black persimmons. The hard yet supple Madagascar rose fingerboard has just the right amount of compression and is just the right hardness to not hurt your ears, so it goes well with other woods and gives the impression that it handles slaps well.

The finest cedar made possible by our store's anniversary project.
