This incredible Fairbanks F-35 1934 'Martelle' De Luxe model is closely based on a one of a kind guitar built by Gibson in 1934 for Kalamazoo-based Gibson dealer, Charles Martelle. In that era Gibson was known for building unique guitars specifically for different shops that carried Gibson Guitars. This is the only known example of the full pearloid fingerboard and headstock, complete with banjo tuning machines and a floating L-5 style pickguard. This modern recreation also features a torrefied Adirondack Spruce top and torrefied Curly Maple backset.
