Slingerland Radio King 1950's - Natural Maple

This is the Slingerland Radio King that Charlie Watts used to record Ron Woods "Gimme Some Neck" Album in Spring of 1978. It was included with the Gretch kit rented from SIR Los Angeles and set up in Glen Campbells mansion in the Hollywood Hills and was loaned to him by me with the agreement that he would sign it at the end of the session. The Gretch kit was purchased by the Rolling Stones (minus my snare drum)and became the kit Charlie toured with (with my signature in the floor tom), basically, the rest of his time with the Rolling Stones. The snare drum is one layer of maple, with some of the original hardware and Ludwig Snare hardware. I have only traced it back to the 50's
