I found this Silvertone bass in a store in Greenville, MS when I was there in 1985 making the film "Crossroads" with Ralph Macchio and Ry Cooder. It sure is the real Blues "deal" and as we were continuing to make the film, we discovered some Mississippi Delta musicians who we worked into the film, such as Son Thomas and Frank Frost and The Wonders. When I showed the bass to their bass player, he informed me that it was once his! Certainly a well-traveled and well-worn instrument, with tons of mileage on it. I always wanted to hang onto this as a memento of my time making this film in Ms., but now I'm ready to let it go! It's the "real deal", and if u have any questions about it, please feel free to write to me! Endless Blues "Mojo", and a real piece of Blues history!
