This Used Glendale Retro Blackguard Electric Guitar in Natural is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. The guitar includes a nice G&G Hardshell Case with a tooled leather look.
Glendale is most well-known for its incredible hardware. They make stellar bridges, saddles, and knobs, amongst other things! I, as in the person writing this, have followed Glendale for years and have used their hardware as well. They make some super fine guitars as well but they don't crank them out. This is the 1st one I have ever seen in person and it is an exceptionally cool guitar!
The body is a Spruce and Pine sandwich that is routed out for easily the lightest T-style in the shop. It is loud, lively, and has that sweet Tele KERRANG when you strum it hard. It's finished with a nice Trans Butterscotch finish which allows all the grain to be visible.
The neck is made from Maple and is carved to a Large Nocaster Style-U Profile. It has 21 x 6105 frets, a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 1.65" nut width, and 25.5" scale length.
It has a pair of Lollar Pickups in it and they sound phenomenal. The bridge barks and bites with the best of them while the neck has a bit more of an open sound than many T-Style Neck Pickups. A Master Volume, Master Tone, and 3-way pickup selector provide familiar controls.
However, the slanted angle of the pickup selector blade makes switching pickups easier. The knobs are Glendale's Large Knurl Aluminum Knobs which are exceptionally grippy and lightweight. The Glendale Bridge has trimmed edges which provides unfettered access to the strings. This bridge is not only exceptionally comfortable but it equally toneful.
