I am offering here a Lakewood M-14 Edition 2019, a beautiful all solid timber steel-string acoustic guitar handmade in Giessen (Hesse) by the German noble acoustic guitar forge Lakewood with a handy Grand Concert design including neck-body transition at the 12th fret, fine "AAA" Sitka spruce top, evenly figured mahogany back and sides, set cedro neck with "V"-neck profile and 44mm bone nut, fine ebony fingerboard, elaborately designed abalone rosette, ebony bridge with bone inlay in a radiant high-gloss polished natural finish with closed-pore satin-finish neck and rosewood body bindings in mint condition incl. Lakewood Hiscox luxury hardshell case and professional setup with 11-gauge Elixir strings.

This Lakewood M-14 Edition 2019 is a masterfully crafted and hand-built acoustic guitar in a class of its own based on the M-14 model. The M-14 has been in Lakewood's product catalogue for several decades and is now one of the most popular European Grand Concert acoustic guitar models ever. This luxury variant, which was only produced in 2019, combines selected solid tonewoods of the highest quality with high-quality hardware and artistically designed details in a class of their own.

This instrument features a top made from solid "AAA" Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from even-grained mahogany. The guitar therefore offers a wonderfully rich acoustic guitar sound that leaves nothing to be desired. Due to the handy body size, including the very pleasant neck-to-body transition at the 12th fret, the sound is more focused and the tones are more clearly differentiated from one another than with a classic dreadnought. The guitar impresses with a sound that is rich in overtones, with warm mids in particular coming into their own. Together with round, gently vibrating basses and brilliant trebles, a harmonious and dynamic sound emerges, which is particularly suitable for fingerpicking and fingerstyle, but strummers will also get their money's worth.

The playability is perfect thanks to the low string action (2.5mm XIIth fret E6) and, together with the wide 44mm bone nut, the 650mm scale length and the "V"-shaped neck profile, it is extremely comfortable to play even for less sensitive fingers.

Visually, the guitar impresses first and foremost with its natural elegance: behind the high-gloss body finish, the grain of the tonewoods is revealed marvellously which matches nicely with the elaborate embellishments made of abalone, mother-of-pearl and precious wood elements. In short, a guitar that you will really love as much playing as looking at!
