Up for sale is a vintage 50's/60's Jackson Guldan parlor guitar made in Ohio. I found this little gem in an antique store in the mountains of rural Pennsylvania. It required some repairs to get it back into working order, which are evidenced in the photos. The top was separated from the sides around both ends of the neck block, which I glued back together. As part of this operation, I replaced a section of kerfing on the inside. However, this is not visible to the player. I also gave it a neck reset, which was extremely easy to do since this guitar has an adjustable bolt on neck. There is a screw on the inside on the neck block that changes the neck angle. I also moved the tailpiece so the strings would line up with the factory (off-center) neck alignment. Additionally, I replaced the original plastic nut with a new bone one I made. Furthermore, I did a light polishing to the frets and added tuner bushings to help with playability and tuning stability. Overall, the guitar plays very easily with low action and is currently set up with 10s. However, as the guitar is lightly constructed, I wouldn't recommend putting anything much heavier on it if you choose to purchase this guitar. Besides the cosmetic wear, it is in good condition with no top, back, or side cracks. The frets are in good shape and the Kluson tuners appear to be original. This is a fun little guitar to play:) It also comes with a non original chipboard case.
