About This Listing

One of the rare AEB-1 "Scroll basses" made by Ampeg in the late 1960s (serial number 610). Purchased by Italian jazz musician Lino Patruno who played it in Romano Mussolini's quartet. Then Maestro Patruno switched to banjo and guitar, and that bass has remained to this day-never played again-in his collection. Its characteristic is that it has a particularly warm sound thanks to a specially designed pickup. The instrument is completely original and in excellent condition. Comes with a vinyl leather contoured bag.
