About This Listing

Rare Goya GS-40 Guitar. Made in Japan in the 70s, a copy of a Gibson L6-S. Very well built guitar, it feels and sounds great. This one is in excellent condition, it has been taken care of nicely during its life, there are very few marks or scratches worth mentioning around the guitar. A few light marks on the headstock, a small finish mark on the fretboard, and other than that just very light cosmetic signs of use and age.

I believe the pickups are not original, and the 6 way rotary switch was nicely swapped for a 3 way toggle. There is also a small switch that I believe is a coil tap for the bridge Humbucker, which sends it into more of a stray like sound. This was done nicely as well.

The D string tuner is a replacement, that has not been attached properly with a screw. It has a different screw pattern than the original, so at least no extra holes were drilled. Finding a single tuner with the same screw pattern would be an easy solution, or you can mount the existing one if you'd like.

The frets show some wear, but it plays pretty nice as is. Some levelling may be required in the near feature to optimize playability. The first few frets have some divots as compared to the higher up frets.

The guitar comes with a gigbag.
