About This Listing

Luis Arostegui Granados was born in Granada in 1932. He started building guitars at the age of 20. He worked as a cabinetmaker in Granada in the 1950s, before moving to Madrid in 1960. He often visited Manuel de la Chica's workshop, where he was certainly able to benefit from his advice. His guitars are built in the Madrid tradition.

This guitar, built in 1974, has a label signed by the luthier. It's a powerful, well-balanced instrument. The basses are round and deep. The treble is singing and reactive. The timbre is woody and expressive, typical of the Madrid school. A rare instrument to discover...
