Di Giorgio Folk No.6 - 1983 - Vintage - Brazil - Hard Case

I am selling a rare 1983 Di Giorgio Folk No.6 in excellent condition as I don't play it a lot any more.

This gem is best suited for folk and bossa style music and has a very warm and soft sound. Everything is in perfectly working order and you will have a hard time finding such a beautiful vintage Di Giorgio made of these stunning old-growth rosewood back and sides.

Those who are familiar with Di Giorgio guitars know about the collective value of these vintage built instruments. It is quite rare to find one in a condition like this one. Di Giorgio is best known for its special and rare classical guitars, with which Di Giorgio has built up an almost century-old tradition. They are not only one of the most important artistic expressions in the field of guitar music, but also the essence of Brazilian music, especially bossa nova. Many of Brazil's most famous artists, such as Tomé Jobim, João Gilberto, Baden Powell and many others, have contributed to writing Di Giorgio's history.

This Folk 6 acoustic guitar is inspired by these famous classic specimens and has a wide (52mm), short neck. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret. On the back of the headstock you can see the recognisable Di Giorgio firebrand. It appears to be vintage style ladder-braced. She has a little crack in the pick guard, but I chose to leave it all original.

The guitar was designed for steel strings. There were two versions of this shape back in the 70s and 80s.

She comes in an old, but functional Hiscox-style Mexo case for safe storage and delivery.
