About This Listing

Hey now! You're looking at a suuuper cool, and incredibly rare double-neck guitar/

This is a 1967 Gibson EBS-1250 Custom Double Neck Electric Guitar & Bass.

It weighs 12 lbs 2 oz. Bass scale length: 30.5", guitar scale length: 24.75".

Gibson only shipped 22 of these instruments (aside from custom orders), and this is the only one I've seen with a Bigsby making this so so so rare.

Gibson began making double neck electric guitars in their Custom department in 1958 with the famous EDS-1275 (12/6), and an EMS-1235 Double Mandolin. Save the best for last, they also made the EBSF-1250. A bass and guitar (EB-3 and SG), equipped with built in fuzz tone circuitry from their popular FZ-1 pedal (though this one does not have it).

This created a new and exciting instrument, offering great versatility and range.

Two slim, fast, low-action mahogany necks, housing rosewood fingerboards, set onto a mahogany body.

Classic Gibson tone - incredible natural resonance, great balance, and amazing sustain. The quintessential mid-range crunch.

Grabbing up all this Gibby goodness are all Patent Sticker pickups.

Almost endless tonal possibilities. 2/3 of a band in one instrument, there is so much to explore here.

The color is awesome too. Started it's life as cherry, which faded beautifully.j

It's in good vintage condition. Just setup, the necks are straight and the frets are clean.

Plenty of vintage love here. Normal playwear, marks/scratches, dings/dents, especially on the sides.

Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description. I use very intense lighting for this reason.

The bridge was replaced with a Bigsby at one point in its life, and the output jack was moved about 2", and plugged. The work was done very well!

Don't miss out on a unique opportunity to own a true piece of Gibson history with this EBS-1250 Custom.

Thanks for looking!
