We have a sublime 1951 Gibson L-4C in original Sunburst that has some story's to tell

The absolute Gem of Gibson Archtops. Very low action on that Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and is just screaming "PLAY ME!" Truss rod in perfect with tons of life left. A few holes were drilled during its long life near the trapeze anchor.

1st fret Neck depth 0.83"

10th fret Neck depth 0.93"

Nut Width 1.71"

This guitar was well loved and needed a few structural repairs before it was ready for sale

Repairs are as follows

• Re-Glued bracing

• Repaird divot on side

▪︎ Binding Re fitted

It is said that only 201 L-4C's were made in 1951 making this guitar super uber duper rare!

After further research of Gibson Ledgers we have found out that this exact guitar was shipped to Chicago Musical Instrument Co on January 14th 1952
