Pono Solid Mahogany Guilele

For sale is a beautifully crafted instrument in both appearance and sound. This little guitar (or large ukulele, however you want to see it!) truly sings with the sweetest voice. It is balanced, rich, and delightful. I bought this guilele new from theukulelesite.com and it came with a perfect setup. It has been rarely used, always kept in the hard case at proper humidity, and absolutely babied. It is hard to find any signs of use, but there is slight discoloration on the top of the headstock (could be extremely thin scratch or could just be the wood) and a tiny scratch on one side. Both are pictured in the photos. To listen to a sample recording of the sound, do a video search on Google for pono mb-6, the first result should be a high resolution video on Vimeo.

Please note the guilele currently has Aquila Red Series strings installed which are... red.

This instrument can be tuned like a standard guitar with the proper strings, and it is currently. I will also include a fresh pack of standard guilele strings which sound best at a higher tuning such as ADGCEA. This model was only manufactured for a short time before it was discontinued, making it rare. There is nothing like it on the market.

This is the satin finish mahogany 6 string guilele (guitarlele) from Pono. It can be tuned like a regular guitar, E to E, or up a step and a half, G to G, but the most popular way is ADGCEA, like an ukulele with two lower strings or like a guitar with a capo at the 5th fret. 

Features on this Pono include all solid woods, bone nut and saddle, 16" radius fretboard, truss rod, and a nice arched top hardshell case.
