Yamaha CGS102A 2000's - Gloss Laminate

This is a true Student guitar made by Yamaha in Indonesia, not an off-key toy that can't produce good sound. (Please refer to my description of the Yamaha 1/2 Size classical on our other listing.) This beautiful small guitar has a sweet tone and is so easy to play, adults will be sneaking off with it while their kids are at school.

In this case, inexpensive nato (a softer mahogany variety that sound like wild cherry) and spruce laminates and rosewood combine in a beautiful guitar that is worth much more than its price. Teach your child to handle it lovingly and respectfully, and it will sing for him or her for years to come.

You might want to explore Open D tuning, DADF#AD, which sounds beautiful when strummed and uses mostly bar chords. In Open D, your child can play real songs to sing with only 3-4 bar chords. And please, don't let your child use a pick on a classical guitar!
