Selmer AS500 Alto Saxophone
Our Notes: This saxophone is in Excellent condition. It was very well cared for by the previous owner. We sent it to our repair shop where is was thoroughly cleaned and small dents were removed. It plays exceptionally well. There are some scratches on the body of the saxophone which are most notable on the elbow and bell and there is some slight pitting/wear on the metal part of the neck. Overall it's in Excellent shape and is ready to be played!
The Selmer AS500 provides a great addition to the array of student through professional model saxophones available from Selmer. Beginning musicians and their teachers will notice the many design features that ensure a comfortable playing position for young hands. Features such as the adjustable right hand thumb rest and the linear design of the left and right hand key sections will help students get off to a great start. Young performers will value the high F# key that extends the range of the saxophone to facilitate performance of advanced literature. The innovative change of lowering the octave key pin flush with the top of the neck receiver will protect it from damage, especially when students forget to use the end plug.
