This custom Furch has solid Sinker Redwood top and solid selected Cocobolo back and sides. Special custom option is the Bevel Duo for more comfortable playing. Redwood is found only along California's northern coast and is valued not only for its beauty, but for its light weight and resistance to both fire and decay. Logs were hauled to the river through many dams. When the river swelled from rain, the dams would be dynamited open, allowing all the logs to rush downriver to the sawmill - except, of course, for those logs buried beneath the river's bottom. Year after year, more and more sinkers settled into the silt and mud. Having a fabulous tight grain, after 150 years of resting in rivers rich with minerals, sinker redwood almost glows with an infusion of burgundy, blond, red, purple, and brown tones. Deep rich tone, integrity of strength and stunning beauty are just a few ways to describe a Furch guitar that features a Sinker Redwood top. The G shape Furch is one of the most popular and best seller guitar among modern finger-style players. This custom built guitar has mahogany neck with Ziricote fingerboard and bridge. Next extras are the Padouk fingerboard and headstock binding, Cocobolo headstock veneer, plain fingerboard. The strings scale is 650mm (25,5"), the nut width is 45mm. The nut and the saddle were made by TUSQ. The solid Padouk rosette with Abalone inlay ring gives this guitar elegance and beauty as well. It has Padouk binding with contrast line on the body. The japan made Gotoh 510 Delta tuners have 1:21 ratio and ebony buttons. This Custom Rainbow G-DC is a real masterpiece from Furch for a valuable price. Hiscox hard case is included.
