Ovation Adamas 1581-5 Acoustic-Electric guitar (year 1987) - Black Gold Dust

Ovation Adamas 1581-5 in excellent condition! This was one of the top models in the product line, featuring Adamas suspension ring, black finish with gold flakes, bass-side only soundholes, and the famous stereo output electronics---which is really unique thing to hard pan odd and even strings to L and R.

This guitar also has the famous booming acoustic tone and volume found only on deep-bodied Adamas models paired with Adamas suspension ring. It vibrates like no other guitar. You can literally press on the top and see it bounce slightly---similar to how a speaker cone pumps air and produce powerful sound.

The condition is excellent---can even be called "mint" considering its age---minimal playing wear on the frets. There is a very slight finish scratch on the back of the headstock. The action is low and easy to play. The electronics work and sound great! The knobs may occasionally make some noise when turning, common to electronics of that old, but are crystal clear once they settle down.

This guitar has a V-shaped, high-gloss neck.

The orignal hard-shell case is also in excellent condition.
