Beautiful, hard to find and unique vintage Epiphone Granada hollowbody guitar, made in USA. Serial number dates this guitar to 1964. These were made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, right next to their Gibson equivalent and the build quality reflects this. Cosmetically the guitar is in very good condition, light vintage crazing, with light buff marks and some small chips- please refer to the photos. The guitar plays with a beautiful, easy low action. There is slight fret buzz on the small E string at the third fret only. I haven't restrung or setup the guitar for a while which is probably why.
The neck is super confortable with 1 10/16 inches at the nut, the transition width. I have upgraded the pickup with a Curtis Novak Melody Maker style pickup which has much better projection, clarity and sound than the original, professionally installed by a luthier in Sydney. (see Curtis Novak pickups online for more information)
The value of the Novak pickup itself is around A$300. However for the purists out there, the guitar ships with the original pickup as well. Sounds great for any style of music, especially jazz, with a classic Gibson ES hollow body style sound and minimal noise with the installed pickup.
Non-original vintage Gibson hard case included- refer to photos for condition. Shipping anywhere in Australia for $100 will ship overseas - please enquire about the cost.
