Hello folks! Here we have a very old Kamaka Pineapple Ukelele looking for someone to give it some love and care. This hand made Hawaiian hails from 1928-1931, if my calculations are correct. It has the 1928 patent label and a serial number of 6321. The patent was given on Jan. 3rd, 1928, so there would probably be some 1928 models. However, the serial number would probably be more from 1929-1931. I could be wrong. The measurements are 21-1/2" x 6-5/8" x 2-5/8" to 2-3/8". Here are the issues. As you can see the pineapple decal is gone. There are 4 cracks: on the front are 1) 4-5/8" long, 2) 2-1/2" long, 3) 1-1/4" long. The one on the back is 5" long. All are repairable. Picture #10 appears to have a reglued side/top joint. It is simply a scape that the camera is doing some weirdness to. Sadly, one of the tuners is missing. On the good side. The finish is in very good shape. The frets are all in good shape, and none are loose. The headstock decal is excellent, and there are no loose joints anywhere on the body or neck. The joint on the end of the body could use a little a little help, but it is not loose. The bridge and the nut are nice and solid. Well, there you have it. Work needs to be done, but it could turn out to be a nice old player. It just needs a friend.
