Sergei de Jonge is a luthier from Canada, and enjoys a worldwide reputation for his great steelstring and classical guitars. He is seen as the most important Canadian luthier of the moment. His instruments are built with a particularly precise eye for detail, and he has managed to turn this D C/W into a special work of art.

We are fortunate to welcome Sergei to our store from time to time, and he personally delivered this guitar on his most recent visit. The guitar immediately attracts attention due to its special body shape, and has a well-thought-out design packed with clever features that clearly reflect the builder's enormous experience. The guitar is ideally suited for fingerstyle due to its florentine cutaway and raised neck, and is an extremely comfortable guitar to play due to its softly rounded contours.

The guitar has a mahogany back and sides and a Sitka spruce top, and has a clear, full sound with sufficient punch. The guitar is further adorned with beautiful details such as a multi-layer purfling along the mahogany binding, an elegantly designed ebony bridge and a rosette of spalted maple. Remarkably, the sound hole has a beveled edge that allows the sound to leave the body without resistance. Finally, the guitar is equipped with a K&K Pure Mini so that the guitar is ready for the stage!

This beautiful dreadnought by Sergei de Jonge comes with a TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
