Based in Lincoln, UK, Adrian Lucas has been building guitars for over 30 years. He only uses 'Reclaimed' or local woods without compromising the quality of the instruments.
The Honduras mahogany of the back and sides comes from a music bar, while the top and internal bracing are made from reclaimed Douglas fir from old doors! A number of characteristic features can also be found in the construction.
For example, Lucas often builds the Arbor with the Sweep cutaway option that gives easy access to the highest frets. The 'Manzer wedge' is also a hallmark of the Lucas guitars. Developed by Linda Manzer, a renowned luthier, the depth of the body is tapered across its width, so it is slim on the bass side under the player's forearm and deeper on the treble side, where it sits on the player's thigh. It provides a comfortable fit while maintaining normal air volume in the body.
In addition to being extremely innovative and built to last, the Arbor Sweep is also very light and sounds overwhelmingly good!
Includes a Hiscox case with TFOA passport.
