Mid 1970s Navigator Les Paul. At least, that is what this may be. There is very little info on the internet on Navigator guitars, except that Navigator was considered the "custom shop" model from ESP in Japan at the time. I hate to call this a "lawsuit" guitar, but it does seem to fit that period.
This LP has that thick but articulate sound a good LP should have. See the pictures. There is a little finish checking underneath the surface, as if this was a nitro stain and finish that was given a poly final finish over the top, just as Fender has done for many years. The guitar has a volute at the headstock, as the 70s era Gibsons would have. One piece neck mahogany neck, with a mahogany body. Body looks to be a 1 piece, but I cannot be sure. Maybe a 2 piece. Fresh re-fret job last year. NO breaks, repairs, or other issues. Comes with a Gibson custom LP case.
Why sell this? I just turned 70, and if I'm going to keep gigging, I need to get lighter weight guitars. This one is 10.5 lbs.
