Terada Gakki Gallagher Single Cone Roundneck Resonator Acoustic Guitar, Japan

Up for sale, a Terada Gakki-made Gallagher single cone roundneck resonator in excellent condition. Not to be confused with the USA-made Gallagher brand produced in Tennessee since 1965, this Gallagher is a product of Japan (with no affiliation to its USA forebears). Tonewoods include a spruce top, mahogany back and rims, and a mahogany neck capped by a rosewood fingerboard. Measuring 14" across the lower bout with a 3 1/4" body depth and single cone, spider bridge construction, this resonator has a clear, smooth sound with punchy trebles and an overarching bark and cut. The instrument weighs 6lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The top has a gloss Sunburst finish, and the nickel plating on the coverplate and trapeze tailpiece shows just a touch of surface patina. The guitar exhibits some light finish scratches and minor marks across the back, with much more restrained wear on the top and rims. There is one small mark on the back of the slotted headstock through the finish, and the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
