I purchased this two years ago here on Reverb. It's a phenomenal unit! Here's the description from the listing when I purchased it:

The Urei 1176 LN is a favorite compressor of many pro recording studios.

This Unit is a clone of the Urei unit made by a company I formed in 1996 in NYC with 2 other partners. One of the other partners broke off from the partnership and started his own company.

This new company he formed: PURPLE AUDIO.

Purple Audio's first item for sale was an 1176 clone called the MC76. You all know this one.

The MC76 came directly from Classic Audio and is pretty close in many respects to the Classic Audio 1176.

I included a shot of the interior - Check out the MC76 and you'll see the similarities.

So an evolution in the audio gear business. This Unit is #2 of 10 that Classic Audio hand made to put in Studios in NYC and to go to AES with in 1996. It was a hit all around both at AES and in Studio Use.

I own 2 of these and now is your chance to get a piece of audio history in your studio.

This unit works great and sounds like an 1176LN.

This is a hand built and tested unit from the original run of 10!

About as rare as they come - set up cal and all is the same for this unit as any 1176 so service is the same.
