1996 Gibson ‘The Everly’ J180 limited edition, made by the master luthiers in the Bozeman, Montana, custom shop, with a limited release of only 100 instruments.
This extremely high quality Gibson ‘Everly’ guitar presents with a solid ‘Spruce’ top with 3x pinstrip purfling to edge and sound hole; ‘Maple’ back and sides with centre line inlay purfling; ‘Maple’ neck; an exquisite Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl ‘Star’ inlays; passive under saddle pickup for acoustic/electric play; gold plated Grover roto-matic tuners; bone nut and saddle; Rosewood ‘Moustache’ bridge with mother of pearl ‘Star’ inlays; Iconic double moustache pickguard; Nitro-Cellulose finish, and completed with the ultra-rare ‘Gibson’ Bozeman ‘Appearance’ monogrammed acoustic hard shell fitted case, with case candy.
The guitar has been lightly played and lovingly cherished, save for some very minor polishing swirls and one very minor handling mark to lower front bout; this guitar is in near un-played condition, with absolutely NO rash to the rear face.
Designed for backing vocals, the ‘The Everly’ has a warm, smooth sound that compliments the voice so well.
Not only does it look fabulous, this guitar is certainly for discerning players looking for a bold, unique look with great rhythm capabilities and tonal qualities.
This instrument is currently strung with ‘Martin’ acoustic ‘SP’ strings (011-.052). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set to Gibson’s optimum playability settings by our independent luthier with moderate relief for medium strings with a comfortable action for articulated lead lines, and rhythm playing, exuding a rich mature and well-rounded tone.
Please review all photos carefully as they form a major part of the description. We can provide addition photos on request.
An extremely rare opportunity to purchase a one owner; new to market in over 27 years, a very fine, high quality hand-made instrument, by Gibson’s Master Luthiers.
Highly desirable and sort after by Collectors, Investors and discerning Stage Players, significantly appreciating in value over the past few years due to the very limited release of 100 guitars, with examples rarely coming to market.
Not just a great, unique guitar but a very sound investment piece.
