Burns Club Series Cobra DX Pearl Pink 2000

 Burns Club Series Cobra DX, pearl pink, China 2000. Burns of London launched in 1959 and was a massive deal in England and Europe throughout the sixities and onwards, finding favour with a bunch of iconic British Invasion bands. This one is a Club Series reissue made in China (and later Korea) in the early-mid 00s, which are generally well regarded for build quality and fidelity to the originals. The pink finish is so cool: it's slightly sparkly and radiates an optimistic charm. Paired with the split guard, quirky headstock and chrome covered pickups, it looks extremely cool. The tone is great: immediate, full and thick, but with plenty of sparkle and sizzle. The second tone control has a push/pull switch to activate the neck pickup, so you can get all those Tele-middle sounds too. It's a comfy, sturdy player too, with an agreeable moderate round neck and solid hardware. It rules... I mean, just look at it, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has dimples in the belly carve area and scuffs in the elbow area. The sides have dimples in the elbow area and a dent near the jack. The front has dimples around the jack, dimples and a dent in the elbow area, extra holes from a removed guard on the top horn and some play wear on the guard and horns. 
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 7/10, minor wear only
