From the estate of a collector: Super-sweet, super-stylish Italia dual-humbucking Maranello Classic in red sparkle and Pearloid. Designed by British pickup and tremolo innovator Trevor Wilkinson, the Italia line pays tribute to the groovy 1960s guitars made in Europe. The Maranello was inspired by a Hagstrom, but updated with top-notch hardware and alnico pickups. It sounds and plays as good as it looks. The pickups have real bite and Wilkinson’s reputation for quality control means the guitar plays effortlessly up and down the neck with no intonation issues.
This example shows only the most minor play wear, but there are a few small cosmetic issues. There are two small cracks near the bridge pickup in the “Res-O-Glass” control panel, possibly because nearby screws were overtightened. Also, the volume knob is missing the “Volume” insert. This is a fairly common Gibson-style knob that can be easily replaced.
Guitar is sold as-is, with no case or accessories. Available for local pickup in the Mar Vista neighborhood of West Los Angeles.
