Very cool Gibson Les Paul '59 reissue built in October 5, 1981 in Kalamazoo MI.
Weighs 9.6 LBS.
I believe this may be an "Award" in the Heritage Model 80 Series that may have been a dealer promo piece. I could be wrong and any information you all have to share will be warmly received.
With non original case.
UPDATE!
Just received these messages from a helpful Reverberator:
"This one actually is a “one off” that were made in early 80s based on trying to reissue closer to ‘59 specs From what I’ve read. Heritage standard 80s didn’t have that reg. no plate (awards had diff plate, gold hardware etc) and they had Grover tuners. Also heritage models had a unique 4 digit code on back of headstock. Either way really nice guitar, but not heritage standard 80 series."
And...
"...If you do a search for one off Les Pauls or early 80s reissues you should be able to find info, you just have to dig around a bit. Also if you look at every other heritage standard 80 series on reverb or eBay , etc you’ll see the differences between yours and those. Good looking guitar you have there!"
