About This Listing

This ’78 Guild X-175 sounds beautiful with the quintessential dry and woody archtop sound. Well-loved with gentle finish wear on the gorgeous 5-piece Maple neck from play with some pick wear on the top and other general wear from use. As with most guitars, the best ones get played - and someone played this one a lot. It is perfectly channeled, impressively loud, and feels great with an impressive dynamic range and accurate touch response. Mostly stock condition with a removed pickguard, an added master volume, and a replaced switch. The pickups in these vintage Guilds sound great with a transparent sound that gets close to a vintage ES-175. If you are looking for a quality jazz box you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one at this price! Includes original hardshell case.
