Fender Kurt Cobain Road Worn Jaguar Left-Handed converted to Right Handed 2010 - 3-Color Sunburst

Incredible original road worn finish per the brilliance of Fender to completely Left handed copy Kurt's Jaguar. In excellent condition. No case or tremolo arm. Original owner.

This Left handed model was converted to a right handed guitar at Sunburst music in Coogee in 2023. They serviced all electrics, replaced teh original synthetic nut with a new bone nut and did a set up with low action and new strings (.010 gauge).

This model is now discontinued and is highly sought after. This road worn version is made to look exactly like Kurt's with every ding and chip in place, is a truly amazing guitar and incredible how they have achieved this.

It has a rip roaring sound, that captures Kurt Cobain's live sound that catapulted them to worldwide success in 1991. It is a shame Fender did not make this a stock model back in the '60's and thanks to Kurt finding this guitar in the L.A Recycler, Fender put it into production 2011 for a limited time. The functionality of the guitar is a massive improvement on the regular Jaguar with a Gibson style toggle switch to select the pick ups and an Gibson style bridge that is much more stable, plus the two volume and one tone knob add great versatility and looks so cool on the guitar with the triple knobs. It is a real beast of guitar with bags of tonal options to boot. The approximate measurements of the guitar are as follows, the width of the nut is 42mm / 1.653", the width of the neck at the first fret is 21.87mm / 0.861" and 23.42mm / 0.922 at the 12th fret. It has a C neck contour with a 9.5" fretboard radius. The frets are 2.60mm / 0.102" wide and 1.25mm / 0.049" and has a 24" scale length. This Jaguar weighs approximately 4.095KG.

Kurt played his Fender Jaguar at nearly every gig from the Nevermind tour onwards, including some of the bands most famous appearances such as Reading 1992 in England, right up until the start of the In Utero tour in late 1993. You can see why it is a truly magic guitar this thing just screams, possibly the best version of the Jaguar ever made and it came to light in recent times that it was originally custom build in 1965 for Cliff Richards then touring guitarist. Unbeknownst to him it would end up with a future rock legend Kurt Cobain as if it was meant to be by kismet. The original modifications were way ahead of their time on a Fender and is pure bliss to rock one of these awesome guitars. Fender have done an exceptional job on creating Kurt's legendary guitar.

Fender's Kurt Cobain Jaguar is a new-looking version of the battered and highly unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain wielded during the heady early-'90s era when Nirvana ruled rock and led a musically stunning and culturally subversive movement. Features include an alder body bound fingerboard with pearloid dot markers, Stratocaster headstock shape with 1950s-style "spaghetti" logo, DiMarzio humbucking DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary neck pickup and DP100 Super Distortion bridge pickup, triple knurled "chrome-dome" knob configuration (volume, volume, tone), three-position toggle switch, faded black chrome Adjusto-Matic bridge and Gotoh sealed tuners.
