About This Listing

About This Listing

Custom order from Balaguer. Built to custom spec in S.Korea, with the quality control and setup performed in Pennsylvania. This guitar is fantastic, hate to let it go but desperate times call for desperate measures.

The neck radius is very flat and it sports a solid D profile with a nice flat surface to rest your thumb; and the back features as silky smooth a finish as you'll ever find. Truly a joy to play. The birds' eye maple fretboard is gorgeous. As the build photos show, the thick maple cap is flamed all the way down, no veneers here. Just a beautiful and eminently playable custom-built guitar.

Top quality electronics and upgraded USA Balaguer pickups. Hipshot Contour bridge, Balaguer locking tuners, all top shelf appointments. According to the gentleman I bought it off (who placed the original order), if you were to build one to this spec on their website it would run close to $3k. Although I believe this Blue Mage Burst finish isn't even available anymore. This was one of the first double cut Astras built. 9lbs

There is one small blemish on one edge (pictured), and the gold plated control knobs do show a bit of oxidization. Otherwise in tip-top condition. Comes with molded hardcase shown.
