About This Listing

(NEW) From Asheville's Pisgah Banjos:

"This is our version of the Vega Whyte Laydie banjo from the turn of the century. This blond bombshell features a scalloped "electric" tone ring also know as the Whyte Laydie tone ring and is made in house by hand and molded with exacting specifications from an original, making the tone unmistakable from nearly a century ago when it was first created.  The Pisgah Laydie presents amazing volume, punchiness, and great responsiveness for playability. Staying true to its ancestor, we are keeping this model in the "Whyte" with no stain.  The Pisgah Laydie is definitely a show stopper in any banjo setting!"

We tend to agree!  There is something very sturdy and substantial in the sound and build of the Laydie.  This one is standard 26" scale length, is spiked at the 7th fret, and features a Hawktail tail piece!
