Jerry Jones Neptune 92-98 - Fuggly Color

Just traded in is this Jerry Jones Neptune U2 electric guitar. The gentleman that traded it in said it is an older model. The serial number is on the jackplate. No. 3239 if that helps. When the guitar came in, the fellow told me that he, or someone before him, I cant remember, didn't like the color so he painted it black. Hmm. The black color was somewhat sanded off the back in places so thats where I started, I took some lacquer thinner and wiped it on with a rag and the color came off very easily. The original color is kind pumpkin looking...ahhh, not so tasteful. I took it off the front and back of the headstock and then started on the top but stopped because it looked pretty good where your arm would wear it off. Ok, thats it, I liked that cause it looked like a vintage worn look. So, it sounds awesome, it plays great and feels killer. Im sure if you are looking then you know something about this brand, way better than the old Silvertone and Dano models. Way better bridge that can be intimated and it has a nice truss rod that works great. These are not cheap made guitars and the price reflects it. All that being said, I will not ask as much for it as a pristine one. Will be shipped in a case, not shown. If you want it and don't like the finish then you can simply wipe the rest off with thinner. Very easy to do. I like it like it is tho.
