Up for sale, a History SZ-P2M electric bass guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Produced in Japan at the Fujigen factory and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this medium scale P Bass features a gloss Candy Apple Red finish with matching headstock, basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard. The bass has a smooth and balanced acoustic tone, and the split coil P-style pickup delivers bold and punchy low end, sweet midrange character, and ideal top end articulation.
The one-piece maple neck has a slender C shaped profile carve with modest shoulder, measuring .820" deep at the 1st fret and .975" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and stock medium jumbo fretwire. The frets have good height and meat, with light uniform wear on the crowns of frets 1-7, and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. The bass plays cleanly up the 32" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, and the nut measures 1 9/16" in width. On the matching Candy Apple Red headstock, the stock chrome Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
