About This Listing

Rare, English-made Vox Phantom Bass. Very little play wear. Almost no fret wear. Body and neck dates: December 1964 and January 1965, respectively. One of the last of the English-made Phantoms before manufacturing was sent to Italy. Finish is beautiful with minimal checking and a few minor dings and scuffs. Small ding on front of headstock, treble side. In very good cosmetic and playing condition. Sounds great. Comes with original fawn-colored hard case.

This bass featured two single-coil pickups, volume and tone controls, and a unique five-sided body.  Originally, this bass was made in England, but production changed to Italy by the late '60s. The earlier English-made basses are more sought-after.
