Gibson Joe Perry Signature Les Paul 1996 - 1999 - Black Burst

This is a 1998 Gibson Joe Perry Les Paul.
The Joe Perry model is very rare and hard to find nowadays.
The main differences from the Custom Shop model are that the signature on the head has been moved under the bridge, the neck has been changed from 3-piece figured maple to mahogany, and the fingerboard has been changed from ebony to rosewood. The cost has been reduced to make it a more standard Les Paul specification.
The pickups are a 57 Classic on the front and an original design Joe Perry humbucker on the rear, and the controls have a mid boost/feedback control, which is also a characteristic specification of this model. The controls can be controlled by pushing/pulling the control in the front tone position.
It shows some age and minor scratches, but is in good condition with no major damage.
Unfortunately, the GIBSON case has a broken combo lock, and the certificate of authenticity is missing/no paperwork is included.

Beautiful figured maple top with signature print, mahogany back, mahogany neck with rose fingerboard, PU with 57 Classic Plus on the front and dedicated humbucker on the rear, control with 2Vol / Master Tone / Push-Pull mid boost. The mid-boost is a wah circuit, fairly unusual but gives a different vibes, especially for humbuckers that are usually limited tonally.
The necks on these are like a baseball bat, super thick and heavy! 50's style, coupled with the 57 pickups for raunchy tone.
