About This Listing

As with all of Collings' Traditional Series guitars, when it came time to add a "T" designation to their slope shoulder offering, they didn't simply modify the original; the all-new Collings CJ45 T is a completely redesigned instrument that offers a distinct tonal variation compared to their CJ and CJ35 models.

The body construction is heavily vintage-inspired and has been completely redesigned, including new bracing cutouts and patterns. Combined with their latest T-series neck design and new CJ45 neck profile, the result showcases a tone that is exceptionally dry and fundamental with the growl and fullness sought after in the great slope-shoulder dreads of the war era.

As we have come to expect from Collings, the CJ45 AT is also of exceptional quality. The materials used meet the highest standard and the finish will make enthusiasts' mouths water. It is not without reason that these guitars do not stay in our store for long; Once you've played a Collings you won't want anything else!

Comes with TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.

Product Overview
Drawing inspiration from the Gibson J-45, the Collings CJ Dreadnought acoustic guitar, designed by master luthier Bill Collings, is a kind of mixture of the jumbo and dreadnought body types. Although CJ stands for Collings Jumbo, and the guitar is sized large, the shape itself is akin to that of a dreadnought. The CJ is typically comprised of a sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, though Collings offers a variety of wood choice combinations to create different tonal qualities.
