The ‘Alien’ Bass was built by Hondo in the 1980s. Similar in design to ‘The Duke’ model by Kramer as well as Steinberger Instruments, this is a 31” shortscale Bass with some quirky features.
Most notably it boasts a headless neck with a sheet of aluminium through the middle, in place of the traditional truss rod. The machine heads are located below the bridge of it’s minimalist travel sized body, whilst the bridge itself features individual rolling string saddles for string spacing adjustment. It also features a rubber grip for more comfort while playing sitting down.
