About This Listing

Gibson SG Special Faded

Brown Year 2008

Mohogany body and neck

Rosewood fretboard

Pick-up 490R 490T (PAF style alnico)

The frets are new and original

The neck is straight and the truss rod works properly

Everything is original and like new

Except

The guitar has minimal marks behind the body (see photo) and minimal pickline marks on the pickguard

The guitar is clean, fretboard with lemon oil, body and neck with beeswax cream, pots with specific product. The strings are pretty new 0,11 but old

The original 2008 Gibson gigbag is included.

My opinion... This guitar sound great, and, it's very easy to play because the frets are new, I sell it because I play an SG with a different neck.

But these woods 15 years old with these Pick ups have a very beautiful sound and this paint is great for the sound.

Product Overview
The Gibson SG Special Faded was born from a variety of small changes made to Gibson instruments over the course of 50-plus years. The SG Special evolved from the Les Paul Special in the early '60s, and was meant to be a less expensive, stripped-down version of the SG Standard for no-frills players. The SG Special Faded, released in 2002 and still in production today, implemented another cost-reducing measure: the use of a light satin finish. Those digging the SG body shape but who don't need unnecessary bells and whistles may want to take a look at the Gibson SG Special Faded.
