Squier E Serial Stratocaster 1987 ST362 MIJ-Clean Original with case

Here is an extremely clean 1987 E Serialized Squier MIJ ST362 Stratocaster. All original with original hardshell case. This one is factory equipped with a Fender System 1 tremolo. Essentially these are Fenders with a Squier Label. If you noticed the Fender text on the System 1 tremolo you'll also notice the Fender stamped Gotoh tuning machines. When taken apart , as this one just was for service, all the stamps, pots, etc are the same from Fender to Squier. The neck stamp is ST-362 which Fenders were stamped with, these are loosely '62 reissues. If you know Japanese Squiers I'm sure you are already aware of this.

About this guitar specifically. It's a completely stock clean guitar. There are only a handful of small dings and scratches. It's spent most of its life in a case and you'd be hard pressed to find any guitar of this age in cleaner condition. At nearly 37 years of age it looks only a few years old. The aged yellow pickup covers and amber tinted neck give clues of its real age. As said the Fender System 1 tremolo is stock to this guitar, I do not have the trem arm though. The neck is in incredible condition, super clean with a nice grain pattern to the rosewood. The frets show some minor wear but have plenty of meat left to them. The Fender Gotoh tuners are nice and turn excellent. The frets were just polished and the fretboard oiled. The electronics are stock and function perfectly, standard Strat controls, volume, 2 tones, 5 way switch and 3 single coil pickups. The pots were just cleaned with Deoxit Electronic Cleaner. New 10 gauge GHS strings were added and the guitar plays great and needs nothing.

Included is the original case and as you'll notice it's labeled Fender like most of the guitar is. When you bought these guitars new and opted to add a case these are what they came with. It has a bit of a bow in the plastic top but all latches are solid and the handle secure. The interior is free of smells and in good shape.
